TechCrunch has a bunch of photos of the Nexus One, Google’s first official foray in the mobile phone market. The phone is reported to be skinnier than the iPhone 3Gs with a larger touchscreen and a couple of extra dedicated buttons at the bottom. The phone is also said to be made by HTC and will be available as soon as NEXT MONTH with NO CONTRACT (meaning you can pretty much use it on any GSM network in the USA).
If Google is able to make the price of this phone significantly lower than most other no-contract phones on the market, then that could mean trouble for other manufacturers on the market (and better overall prices for the consumer). Competition is a good thing isn’t it? :)
