Ancient and mysterious stone wall found underneath Times Square building

Construction workers on 41st Street between 7th and 8th Avenues uncovered a mysterious stone wall lying underneath 11 Times Square. The stone wall’s history isn’t known for sure, but it could date back to the 1890′s when the area above it housed an old theater.

For now, builders are simply going to build around it and fill it up which would be a nice surprise for future developers when they come across it again.
