Swimming in isolation (photographs by Carlo Van De Roer)

Carlo Van De Roer has a great series of images of individuals in isolation in or near bodies of water. Carlo resides in NY now, but I wish he provided details on where these photos were taken. They seem like pretty neat places to visit.

    It looks like the Blue Lagoon in Iceland for some of these.

    Exactly. Looks like the Blue Lagoon. Good he didn’t photograph the condoms that were floating around when I was there..

    I meant to post a comment a while back on this one.

    It could be the Icebergs swim club cut into the rocks at the end of the Bondi Beach in Australia. As you might notice from the picture, high tide fills the pool with water and the wall of the pool keeps the water in at low tide.
