Cinch adds Windows 7 snap feature to OS X

If you’ve used Windows 7 at all you may have become accustomed to one of its better features known as Snap. If you don’t already know, Snap allows the user to easily resize and position a window simply by dragging it to the edge of the screen. It’s an invaluable tool for those of us with large enough resolutions and monitors because it automatically creates the perfect viewing panes for your workspace.

Mac OS X unfortunately does not come with this feature built-in so Irradiated Software went ahead and created their own version called Cinch. I’ve been using it for the past couple of days now and I cannot imagine myself ever running OS X without it. For now, Cinch is free to try and $7 to purchase, but c’mon Apple, let’s steal this one from Microsoft, yeah?

Here’s a quick video of Cinch in action (courtesy of Cult of Mac).
