J.D. Salinger, author of one of the greatest American coming-of-age books, The Catcher In The Rye, passed away yesterday at the age of 91 in his home in New Hampshire. Salinger’s writing and books heavily influenced me as I was growing up, and in some ways, his writing style can be seen here on Doobybrain.com.
