Well, I guess it doesn’t matter much now, but it turns out that the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore only includes one full Italian! Who is it? It’s Vinny Guadagnino from Staten Island! So just how Italian is the rest of the cast? As FashionIndie breaks it down:
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (NY) is half Chilean adopted by an Italian family
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (Staten Island) is half Spanish half Italian
Jenni ” J-WoWW” Farley (NY) is half Irish half Italian
Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio (Rhode Island) is half Spanish half Italian
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro (Bronx) is half Puerto Rican half Italian
Sammi “Sweatheart” Giancola (NJ) said “I am not Italian, but I can understand why some Italians are upset”
Vinny Guadagnino (Staten Island) is the only full Italian
Angelina Pivarnick (Staten Island) is Polish
I guess you don’t have to be Italian to be a true guido. Yay! Dream come true!

I find it interesting because the Italian community was up in arms about this show and the only full Italian was the most behaved and proper of the bunch. If they’d known this, I wonder if their anger would be so widespread like it had been.

Who cares if they are not full? As long as they are half that is good enough. They obviously act Italian.
as a full Italian, I am relieved…
its sad if you really believed they represent italians in the first place…Its just a reality show, that happens to be very entertaining the first time around…Not too sure if season 2 with the ego’s and the people who follow them around will make it even worth watching.
None of them look or act Italian. Everybody in the US pretends to be Italian when their great grandfather was friends with an Italian. You give Italians a bad name.
And wtf…Spanish? Such bullshit. You mean HISPANIC…They are not Spaniards…
I`m 100% Italian for 7 generation and my wife is 100 % American…
To be Italian you need to meet 3 Standard
1) Speak the native Language (Italian of Course)
2) Been in Italy at least 1 time for more then few days and visited at least 5 cities..lol
3) Eat Italian food as we do no American way…
If you get that you can consider yourself Italian. Regarding the Jersey Cast they need to go get a Job…..but a real one
