The City of New York has this neat map online that allows you to zoom into parts of the city as if it was 1924. There’s actually aerial photos for 2006 and 2008 too, but the real interesting part is seeing the city from above as it was in 1924. It’s black and white imagery but it’s pretty hi-res and allows you to zoom in pretty closely. Check it out here.
