Motionographer points to this cool Barclaycard ad that shows what a city-wide rollercoaster might look like if it were built in New York. This would be a dream come true if it were an actual ride, but obviously, something of this magnitude would never pass. Or if it did, NYC would take decades building it.

A little titbit for you, there were plans drawn up for something simular to this back in the early 1900′s IIRC. One of the big city costers I remeber goes over a suspension bridge using it’s piers it might have been the golden gate. If i had a little more time i would google it up, i think i saw it on a programme about the history of coasters.
