Astronaut uses 800mm Nikon lens to demonstrate acceleration in space

An 800mm lens weights a ton on Earth, but in space, that same lens weighs nothing. That’s why it’s kind of mind-boggling to see this astronaut handle this huge lens with such ease. What he’s doing is using the lens as an accelerometer in space to show how objects move when thrust is involved. It’s pretty neat. [via]

    i love how it just floats effortlessly. And how they keep the cameras in place by magnets on the hotshoe by the looks of it.
