Theo Watson from Free Art & Technology (FAT) has posted this neat little one-hour speed project that converts real-life smiles into online smileys! The application called Auto Smiley uses openFrameworks and MPT for smile detection.
If you want to give it a try, you can download the Mac and PC versions over at FAT for free (you will need a working webcam).
