A new Harris Interactive poll suggests that there are many, many stupid people on all sides of the political spectrum. I just can’t help but think that if you answered “true” to some of the statements on this list, then you are ignorant beyond belief. I mean, sure, you can hate the guy all you want, but that doesn’t mean you have to become absolutely stupid until the next President comes along.

Of course Wikipedia just gives you a starting point. But only if you thoroughly read those articles (or some more sophisticated source) you can dare to talk about socialism without looking like a fool.
If you think Obama’s a Socialist, you don’t know anything about Socialism. There’s really nobody in American politics that can truly be qualified as a Socialist.

Why does everyone want to call President Obama a socialist? It isn’t like the healthcare bill is Americas first dance with a socialist idea! We have Welfare, Social Security,Unemployment, the FCC, the FDA, and literally hundreds of other agencies that control everything from the standards for the roads we drive on and the safety of our cars to weather or not our local municipality will let us build a deck on our own property!
Where did they conduct this poll? A Tea Party rally? Or maybe the Fox News site?
I am so glad about Ladro’s and OMG’s comments. Europeans which have actually succumbed the real nasty and cynical socialism watch this debate in awe and can not believe that President Obama is called a Socialist.

And commenters, please stop using wikipedia as a source for your idiot arguments. The people that think wikipedia is a source of facts are the same people that are too ignorant to figure out that the women in their sewing circle are writing those facts.

I *explicitly* wrote, that Wikipedia is just a starting point. You are also free to prove the articles written wrong. I am quite sure you will not be able to even understand what is written there or even find a rational argument against the facts written in the articles I linked, because you lack of general knowledge.
So you are just plain ignorant (obviously).
But as I said, just read some more sophisticated source if you think Wikipedia is not good enough for you. The only problem is, that in the end you will realize that the claims you (indirectly) make are just wrong because you just don’t even TRY to understand the BASIC concepts. Be it different models of the free market or of the “controlled” marked in form of socialism or communisms.
