
Popular Science has a neat cutaway illustration of GE’s next generation wind turbine which is made with 176-foot blades (40% longer than their current wind turbines) and a new gear-less drive-train that reduces wear and tear.
At full capacity, these new wind turbines are set to provide 25% more power and are said to be able to power 1000 homes each. Read up further on the PopSci article here.
