Popular Science on the Apple iPad

Back in December I posted a concept video from Bonnier called the Mag+ that demonstrated how the next generation magazines might work on a touch tablet PC.

Now, on the even of the Apple iPad’s release, Bonnier is showing off what the first iPad magazine will look like. This new video demonstration shows the Popular Science+ version of the magazine which incorporates a lot of the concepts that were in the original Bonnier video from December.

My question is whether or not “plus” versions of the magazine are cheaper to produce than the print version. It seems like a lot of work to do two very different versions of the magazine each month.
