Apollo 11 Saturn V launch in slow-motion HD

Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch (HD) Camera E-8 from Mark Gray on Vimeo.

Mark Gray, the Executive Producer for Spacecraft Films, narrates this piece of space history by showing the launch of the Apollo 11 Saturn V rocket in slow-motion. The video is an HD transfer from the original 16mm film that it was shot on. The whole sequence shown here lasts in real-time for about 30 seconds but it takes 8 minutes for Mark Gray to fully explain it all. It’s just glorious to watch.
