Waking up in the same place every morning is boring.
That’s the premise the people behind the software and hardware configuration called Winscape are going by. Winscape is basically two HD plasma displays that can display a scene based on the relative position of the viewer. Which means that it’s not just two large TVs projecting a static image. If you the viewer moves slightly to the left or right, the viewing angles of the image projected through both TVs changes as well, simulating a real-life landscape despite there actually being no view to the outside world.
The project is in its infancy still, but by July, you may be able to buy this Wii-controlled system for about $2500-$3000. A nice little treat for your house guests if you’ve got the money to spare. Check out the video above for a demonstration.
