MTA revamps the New York City Subway map

The New York City MTA is set to unveil a new New York City subway map next month. The redesigned map will be the first major overhaul of the transit system’s map in over a decade. On the new map, Staten Island will be made smaller, Manhattan will be made a bit larger, and the colors will overall be more vibrant. In addition, the new map will have shadows beneath each subway line making it easier to see.

The New York Times has a complete rundown of the new map and also lets you see it side-by-side with previous versions of the MTA Subway map.
