Balloon flight, shot with an HD HERO camera from GoPro. from Francois Brahic on Vimeo.
fstoppers posted this awesome video of a GoPro HD camera attached to a weather balloon. As you can imagine, the weather balloon goes up pretty high and the GoPro HD stays with it the whole time, capturing fisheye video of the world below. The video might give you vertigo but stay with it to watch the GoPro HD camera fall to earth after the balloon pops.
I wonder how long it took them to retrieve it.
I was part of the group that launched this balloon. The balloon was launched from Davenport, CA, and it took us only a few hours to get it because we had a GPS tracker hooked up to the capsule.
You can see an updated video with more footage here:

What was up there with your balloon/camera? It appears in frame at around 3:47 in this particular video. I catch a couple other glimpses as well shortly after. ??
how did you retrieve it? it could’ve landed anywhere?
