The silly things Americans believe

Newsweek collected a bunch of weird and unsubstantiated beliefs held by some Americans. The list is quite surprising at times especially given the relative ease at which a lot of this information can be fact-checked/disproven.

most of it is willful ignorance. you can debunk or present fact after fact and they’ll never change their minds. what i find most discouraging though is empirical fact/peer reviewed science/expertise is so readily dismissed yet in general these same enthusiastic “skeptics” that demand more evidence readily believe the fairy tales of religion for which there never was and never will be any evidence.

So wait a minute, is it North or South Americans? Oh, thank GAIA, just checked the link, it’s just silly ol’ United States of PART of America Citizens…so the other 500+ million AMERICANS that inhabit the rest of the Americas can rest easy. =)

-America is not a Nation, but a Continent(s); I’m just sayin’.
