Facebook’s slow takeover of the web continues with the announcement that they are now allowing hires images to be uploaded to the site. Earlier this year, they made photos 20% bigger (up to 720px on the longest side) and the new hires images uploaded now can be up to 2048px on the longest side. They’re also rolling out a new Lightbox viewing feature and a slightly modified uploading interface.

The new features should be rolling out to users over the next week or so.
