This is the first time I’m hearing about this, but it sounds awesome. Apparently the city of Los Angeles closed down 7.5 miles of streets to allow people to get out of their houses and cars and just bike, skate, and be outside without the dangers of vehicular traffic. For a city so well known for their traffic, I bet the CicLAvia event was an eye-opening way to experience the city and learn to love it in an entirely new way.

Every time I’m in LA, I’m always traveling around in a car and I’d love to get a chance to bike around that city one day.
