Open House New York recently gave tours of the not-quite-abandoned-but-almost-there James Farley Post Office on 8th Avenue in Manhattan. The post office is one of the largest in the US and sits atop portions of Penn Station and may one day become Moynihan Station. I have only ever been to the ground floor in the Farley Post Office so seeing these upper floors is quite a treat. I’d love to make a break for the stairs one day and just see these floors for myself.
