Noko Jeans is a jean company that makes their jeans in North Korea. As far as I know, the company is not run by anyone in North Korea but instead makes use of labor in North Korea as a means to produce their two jean models — the Kara and the Oke. The people behind the company obviously understand the risks and ethical issues involved in working closely with North Korea and have ultimately decided that it’s worth the effort and questions they’re bound to receive from the public.
If you aren’t impressed with their North Korean involvement, maybe their blog will interest you as it’s got some nifty pictures from inside the country’s walls.
Are these people just ballsy, or are they seeing something that the rest of the world isn’t?
