StringBike develops StringDrive technology for bicycles


Hmm, interesting: A new company named StringBike is experimenting and developing new technology for bicycles that allows for continuous pushing of the rear wheel on both sides of the bike (whereas on a normal bike, usually only one leg is doing the pushing at a time as it goes around in a circle).

Pretty crazy stuff that I would love to try out. But lately it seems as if these new drivetrain technologies aren’t getting adopted/copied by most bike companies. And even if this doesn’t work out to be any better than the normal chain, at least it looks a heck of a lot cooler. Check out some videos of the StringBike below. [via]
