This rather amusing write-up over at lens culture describes one family’s futile attempts at including the black family dog in family photos. You see, a black dog just does not photograph well no matter what sort of lighting you put it in. And if you mix a black dog with not-so-good film and cameras, well, the result is most likely going to be a disaster in documenting the family pet.
The pictures in the collection are found by Erik Kessels and are included in a new book entitled In Almost Every Picture 9 Black Dog which you can buy for $38. Bring it out at your next social function and show everybody what a gorgeous black blob looks like!
