Comparing Mountains and Rivers, 1854
Public School linked to this wonderful treasure trove of old charts, maps, and infographics from the 1800′s. The ones in this Flickr photoset are taken from the David Rumsey Historical Map Collection and each one is exquisite in its own way. The muted colors, the fine lines, and the very detailed information blocks are superb and unlike the clean-cut infographics we’re mostly used to seeing today. I love these!
