Proposing with 800 long exposures

Check this out: Derick Childress proposed to his girlfriend Emily Kern by composing this massive multi-street light-writing message that said “EMILY WILL YOU MARRY ME?”

The writing was done with the help of Derick’s friends and took about 3 nights’ worth of work in Raleigh, NC. According to the Vimeo page description, the final video was made from 800 individual 10-second exposures. Crap man, that’s some crazy compiling, no? (Or am I thinking that it’s more complicated than it actually is?) [via]
