National Geographic takes a tour of some of the extensive underground tunnels and catacombs hidden beneath the city of Paris. The catacombs still hold many human remains, some dating back 1200 years, and other parts of the tunnels have become underground party scenes for those who know how to get there.
The pictures are worth taking a look at and you can use this interactive map to help you start your expedition if you plan on finding these underground parties in Paris. Overall, pretty frightening but really cool. I want to go. [via]

The catacombs are nuts! I took so many photos when I was down there. Tons of skulls and bones. So many blocked passageways you could easily squeeze thru if you weren’t being watched by tour guides. I want to go back now!
