Here’s good news to those who don’t smoke and to those who are trying to quit without the temptation: New York City’s City Council voted this past Wednesday to extend the smoking ban in bars to the city’s beaches and parks too! The enforcement of this law will be solely up to the Department of Parks & Recreation which will hand out $50 fines for breaking this law.
Also, this ban also includes large pedestrian malls like Times Square. Haha, wow. Good luck Parks & Recreation!
