The National Park Service’s very first Rangers house can be found in Yosemite National Park. As you can imagine with a US department as old as The National Park Service, the Rangers’ Club houses a rich history of items, books, and memorabilia from over 100 years of Park Rangers service.
The first director of The National Park Service was Stephen Mather who funded the Rangers’ Club building out of his own pocket. Today, the Rangers’ Club is a national historic landmark. Watch the video above for a quick history lesson on this landmark.
