If you’ve ever used Final Cut Pro before, you’ll probably agree with me and say that it’s one of the worst designed applications available on the Mac platform. It sucks. There’s no other way to say it. And it’s not even like it makes up for the poor UI design with an intuitive interface. Nope, it’s just downright terrible the moment you see that splash screen to the moment you quit the program.
With that said, it’s definitely good news that the next release of Final Cut Pro is going to get the Apple-UI treatment (fingers crossed!!!) and hopefully it ends up being a whole lot easier to learn and use. If there’s one thing that Apple is good at, it’s turning complicated tasks into simple ones. But please, oh please, if NOTHING else changes, just change the look of the application!
You really hate the interface huh? I find that strange… have you ever used Avid? Vegas? Premiere? They all suck the same. I think the key is not using the interface. I hardly ever use a mouse, or interact with a button on the screen. Its all about the keyboard.
I do miss being able to change color layouts and track colors like in Avid… I just hope they dont dumb down the program in the update. My worst fear.
PLEASE don’t let it be like iMovie. For Final Cut Pro needs to remain professional. There is a reason Final Cut Express and iMovie exist. I do hope they change up the look a little though.
booo, it’s made that way so noobs can’t use it! haha jk i guess it is a little ugly, but whatever it gets the job done.
