In one of the first documentaries about environmental refugees, this film by Jennifer Redfearn and Tim Metzger focuses on the people of the Carterets Islands who are in the process of finding new homes at higher grounds because of rising waters due to climate change. The film called Sun Come Up was nominated for an Oscar this year in the short subject documentary section but did not win. It doesn’t mean that it’s not a good documentary however and I cannot wait to watch it. Looks really interesting.
