Redesigning medical data

Thomas Goetz says, “Better health is not a science problem, it’s an information problem”, and in this TEDMED Talk he talks about how simply redesigning healthcare forms and instructions can dramatically benefit the health of people.

The talk is interesting enough as it is, but what really is amazing are the examples he gives toward the end of the video. The huge change from pages of small, black and white data to clear and concise color-coded information is wonderful. Seriously, why can’t all medical sheets look like these?
