This is interesting. The Wall Street Journal is reporting on a trend in Northeast supermarket chains gradually adopting mobile checkout devices so shoppers can scan items on the go as they shop.
The devices are handheld and easy to use and allow shoppers to add or remove items and bag them as they go so that when they leave the store, all they have to do is pay. Sounds pretty nifty. I want to try.
