Taiwan Shanghai is now the place you want to be if you want to try out some fresh snacks shaped like a human penis. The hot dog on a stick which can be bought from a street food vendor is simply a hot dog wrapped in a cake-layer that is formed into the shape of a penis. Nothing like a bunch of Asian people walking down the street with severed penises in their mouth.

The story is featured in Shanghaiist, but the snacks and vendor are actually from Taichung, Taiwan — my home town — and not Shanghai. I actually live about 15 minutes away from the night market where these pictures were taken. Maybe I’ll take a photo for you someday, if I can find the stand.
