Great repost and thanks to your 3/21/09 post, How to get into the Freedom Tunnel, I was encouraged to check out the tunnel and take my own photos. Since your post, the MTA has put up a new fence- Some of my photos – http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidwprince/sets/72157627090831286/

Great photos! How was it getting over the new fence? I’m looking to go back soon!

It was super easy. There is an opening gate to the fence that while it was locked, is really easy to jump. Here is a Google Maps Street View of the fence where we entered- http://tinyurl.com/3n9b489.

Should be just as easy for Marty when he visits in a couple of weeks.

Where is your next urban exploration? I am trying to get access to the he Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant at night but its proving to be a bit challenging. Any suggestions?
