Diesel engines. Snorkel intake. I guess that’s what they mean by mil-spec. Nothing fancy, it just has to work under extreme conditions.
The cab is most likely somewhat water tight. But yes with a snorkel intake the engine runs just fine, crazy they can barely see must be relying on only a small crack of that window!
