Freedom Tunnel gets new artwork

Joyce links to some new artwork popping up in the infamous Freedom Tunnel underneath Riverside Park on Manhattan’s West Side. The photo above shows a portion of Gaia’s piece on Robert Moses, the man who is most responsible for the creation of many of NYC’s modern major infrastructure (including the Freedom Tunnel).

While some of Freedom’s famous murals have been painted over, graffiti artists haven’t been shy about heading back in there to fill up the space. This might mean that I’ll have to venture in to get an update on the photos I’ve taken there before. Can’t wait!
