I just spent a good amount of time going through all 204 images in Steven Siegel’s collection of images of NYC from the 80s. An incredible set of images showing life, loss, and destruction in a city that looked like it was just trying to get by.

There’s lots of old-school train graffiti in there and also some fantastic shots of familiar places looking very unfamiliar (like the shot of Times Square above).
