Somehow I had missed this. But apparently the idea behind The Underbelly Project which I posted about back in 2010 has made its way to Paris. And now that city has an entire art gallery underneath its streets, hidden away from the public. Love!

There used to be a whole secret library and underground movie club in a closed section of the catacombs under Paris. I didn’t get to explore them much, but the catacombs are amazing. It’s just a maze of human skulls and skeletons and the foundations of the city itself.
