I love this Etsy profile on New York-based artist Sophie Blackall who was commissioned by the MTA to do a poster of Subway riders for MTA Arts For Transit.
Thanks Joyce!

Hey, I like this portrait so much. I started laughing when I saw it in 6 train. Is the character taking two girls in the very right a Chinese? It reminded me of my mom. Thank you very much for your works!

HELLO,
I ALSO SAW YOUR WORK ON THE 6 TRAIN AND I THINK ITS FANTASTIC. I WISH THEY HAD MORE OF IT. THE COLORS ARE GREAT SINCE THE TRAINS CAN BE DULL. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THERE COULD BE SOME DONE THAT ILLUSTRATES PEOPLE SMILING, BEING COURTEOUS AND HELPING EACH OTHER SOMEHOW.
Hey, saw this on the 6 train going home after a long day of classes and it put a smile on my face, very realy, raw, genuine. Hope to find a copy to buy it and putting in my room. Great feel to it.

Hi, I saw that picture in the Subway and I love it. Is there any chance to buy this picture?
Please let me know. Iám from Germany and I would love to hang it in my house…
Thanks and best Regards from Germany.

WONDERFULL!! I rarely notice anything in the subway (I get on, I get off, and I dream about being somewhere else) but the subway train was empty and two young tourists were laughing hysterically and pointing at a poster. Never wanting to miss a good laugh I went out on a limb and walked over to them. They proceeded (in another language) to point out every detail that they saw on the poster. Details I would never have taken the time to look at, which includes the poster. I am glad I did not miss it. Great job. More from you please!
In the picture who is bouncing the ball? I tried to follow it in both directions!
I, like many others, also saw this on the train station and I thought it was very interesting and very artistic. I’ve seen this portrait so many times on the train and it always catches my attention, but one day I recognized something in the portrait that actually made me smile and love it more. What made me love it more was how you were able to put the portrait within the portrait itself to mask the real concept of an actual train ride. You had the same exact people in their same positions and I absolutely loved it. Amazing job, it is wonderful!!!!
