Check out this video of an art sculpture piece by Daniel Palacios called Waves. The piece consists of a long piece of rope held in place by two oscillating ends which cause the rope to vibrate in waveforms. [via]

Gizmodo posts this video of a mysterious amusement park somewhere in the world (anybody?) with quite possibly the craziest gut-churning maneuvers I’ve ever seen on a non-rollercoaster. The two arms on this ride run independently of each other causing the center “ride” portion to flip, go upside down, and turn vertical.

Man, when they first sprout, that just gives me the creeps! [via]

A set of marionettes dance on the streets! Is this not the most amazing thing you’ve seen today?? Thanks Kip!

the-hornster

WIRED writes about this $8000 custom bicycle that is outfitted with a real horn system used on freight trains. The bicycle is called the Hornster and it emits blasts of sound at 140db, loud enough to deafen people on streets if used for extended periods of time. Yikes!

Duncan Robson showed this supercut of the three point landing in popular film and video games. It was shown at ROFLCon III. [via]
