Andy Ruina, Professor of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (whew!) is shown in this video demonstrating some walking robots developed at Cornell University. The robots work by falling in either direction and then regaining balance and then repeating the process over and over again.
