VICE takes a hike with Geologist Azusa Hayano to the Aokigahara Forest, a place at the base of Mt. Fuji where approximately 100 bodies are found every year from suicides. The place was popularized by a book about a couple committing suicide there and since then has become one of the most popular spots for young people to take their life in Japan. A weird yet fascinating story. But beware, some images may be graphic.
