Just a quick note for those of you looking to explore DTLA in the future. I highly recommend exploring the Arts District on a bicycle. Yes, everybody drives in LA, but if there’s a neighborhood meant for exploring on a bike, it’s DTLA. There’s so much to see, hear, and smell that doing it in a car would basically rob you of what this area has to offer. Plus, it’s small enough that biking around won’t take you all day. The slower pace of a bike is preferred and much better in my opinion.
Which reminds me, CicLAvia is in two weeks and if you want the best time to experience DTLA on a bike, make sure you mark your calendars for Oct 7th! During CicLAvia, streets in the DTLA Arts District are closed off to vehicular traffic and tons of cyclists come out to enjoy the sites and sounds of this bustling city! Do it! Meet with me!
