I just read about Bryan Nash Gill’s book Woodcut from Brainpickings. It’s a beautiful collection of prints made from the real cross cut sections of trees. His process explores the passage of time in a way we all learn about when we were in grade-school — that is, that each ring on a tree represents roughly a year of growth on a tree.
What a gorgeous project, and now you can keep it in your home with his book, Woodcut, available now.
