Fantastic news for the Woodward Avenue section of Detroit! The Light Rail Project, a proposed $137 million project that will provide light rail service down Woodward Avenue, has been given the green light and also $25 million in funding from the government. Local businesses are chipping in a combined $100 million to get the project up and going and if all goes well 2015 should see this Light Rail system up and running smoothly. Exciting!
