Culling a mass amount of data from January 2010 to February 2013, James Cheshire, Ed Manley, and John Barratt mapped out the languages spoken in NYC based on Tweets. The data consists of about 8.5 million tweets, all geo-located and represented by dots on the map, each differently colored dot representing the language the tweet was written in.
