Marilyn Monroe’s 1941 high school class picture to a man named “George” will soon be up for auction and is expected to fetch about $9000. The photo shows a young Marilyn, then known as Norma Jeane Baker, sitting with the rest of her high school classmates at the Ralph Waldo Emerson high school in Los Angeles (she is near the middle row in the right half of the image — closeup shown above).

On the back of the photo is an inscription to her friend George which you can also see in detail below.
