It’s no secret that I have and love the Fujifilm X100S. It’s a fantastic camera and one that I’ve used almost exclusively next to my iPhone ever since getting it.

When I got it though, for whatever reason, I chose to purchase an AmazonBasics 32GB SD card instead of opting for a faster card. The AmazonBasics card was cheap and I figured it would do the job (and it did), but it did it so damn slowly. Today, I finally got around to using the SanDisk Extreme Pro card and now I really wish I just went with this in the beginning. The card speed alone has made using the camera so much more fun. Start up and shut down times are reduced significantly and so is burst mode saving (no surprise though). Even viewing pictures on the camera itself is faster.

Rule to remember here: Don’t go for budget when it counts.
