The David Rumsey Historical Map Collection is a treasure trove of visual stimulation. I came across these amazing bird's eye view illustrations of Manhattan by Japanese artist Tadashi Ishihara. They were by the artist to help people remember and visualize this great city. It doesn't look like these maps are on sale anymore but if you wanted to, you could view and download these high-resolution scans of it and do whatever you want with them.
